The hospital was started by Dr.B.R.Santhanakrishnan, M.B.B.S.,DCH,AB(PED),FAMS former professor of pediatrics, Director and superintendent of institute of Chief Health and Hospital for Children, Chennai. He is well known among the medical profession by virtue of his academic as well as community work. He has published several scientific articles in National and International journals.

Dr. B.S.Gajalakshmi, B.Sc.,M.B.B.S.,M.Sc.,Ph.d,FABMS eminent professor of physiology, who retired from Madras Medical College, has put in more than 30 years of experience in the medical field. Past president of the Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists, Indian Science Congress and Altrusa International is presently one of the Directors of B.R.S. Hospital from 2000 August onwards.

Dr.S.Ramesh, M.D., D.C.H.,(Ped.) is an eminent pediatrician and Neonatologist. He is in peadiatrics for the past 16 years and has completed specialisation in Neonatology at Australia. He provides the overall support to the Department of Pediatrics and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. B. Madhusudhan, M.S., M.Ch., D.N.B.(Plastic), MNAMS plastic surgeon graduated from the Madras Medical College and has been attached to various Medical Institutions. Underwent specialized training in cosmetic and Microsurgery at various hospital in the UK and USA. He manages the department of Plastic Surgery at B.R.S. Hospital and Trauma Unit which handles cases of poly trauma, Road Traffic Accident, Head injuries and Burns victims.

Under the guidance of Dr. B. Madhusudhan who is a plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon and the Managing Director of the Hospital has taken great strides by improving the infrastructure of ICU, Operating Theatres and casuality and this has enabled to give advanced healthcare at the appropriate time.
